Fall Makeup Favourites.

My favorite Autumnal makeup goodies!

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!

Truth be told, I am sitting on my couch writing this while it pours with rain outside. Hot coffee in my hand it feels only suitable that I am writing about my Fall Makeup Favorites.

I recently bought the NARS Extreme Effects shadow and have fallen in love with it very quickly. It’s the perfect blend of Fall colors. I love buying from Hudsons Bay because you always receive a bunch of freebies with your order, making it that much more exciting. This time around I got a free eyeshadow primer from NARS and a whole goodie bag from Clinique!

The palette itself is just stunning. NARS is hands down one of my favorite high-end brands. The quality of the shadows are pigmented, yet apply buttery soft.

Along with my NARS eyeshadow, I’ve been obsessed with the NYX Soft matte lip creams. My go-to shades right now are Copenhagen and Stockholm. I had to re-stock these shades because I ran out of my selection from last year. I know this might be different from other opinions, but I really like how light they feel on the lips after they dry. I dont like how some liquid lipsticks feel thick and chalky. These are an absolute dream to wear.

Those colours though! Such a fall aesthetic 😍

Also I’ve been looking at Tik Tok lately… Should I use it? Am I missing out if I don’t?

I feel like it’s going to be something where I don’t like it at first, and then suddenly I’ve fallen deeply into it and totally obsessed. I am still not entirely sure how to use it.

Anyway, TGIF everyone! What are your plans this weekend?

I’m going to carve pumpkins and drink a bit of wine with my friends. πŸŽƒ πŸ₯‚

Lush Haul ❀️ Trying New Goodies

Hello loves!

Feels like I’m finally back with fun blog posts after such a creativity drought!

I feel refreshed and so happy to be back! January has already been amazing and I cannot wait for the coming year. 2018 will be my year!

To celebrate I went and indulged in a little *not so little* Lush haul. They were still having their ‘2 for 1’ deal on Christmas products, but I only snagged a couple Snow Angel bath bombs. Everything else was fairly picked through and really there was only like one shower gel left.

Enough chatter, onto the haul!

IMG_1578

I am extra lucky because this haul was basically possible because of my boyfriend and the lovely gift card he gave me for my birthday, so thanks babe! πŸ˜›

I felt like there were lots of items that I hadn’t tried in a long time, or just flat out forgot existed. So my fave originals are:

Ickle Baby Bot

Twilight

Milky Bar

These cuties are so simple but delicious. I used to pick these up almost every time I would nip into a Lush shop. Then between Halloween and Christmas excitement I forgot all about them!

They all have very simple scents to them, making them an easy choice for any bath time. Twilight is very sweet, Ickle Baby Bot is luxurious lavender, and Milky bar is a wonderful fresh scent.

IMG_1572IMG_1565

I also picked up some returning favourites like Butterball and Marilyn (hair mask <3)

Specifically I do want to rave about their hot oil hair treatments for a second. When you buy them, they come on the stick as pictured. Once you add the hot water and stir, it transforms into a creamy amazing mask.

I said this before, but with the solid masks you can store them in old Lush pots and re use for later. You don’t have to use all the mask in one go, and you can re-activate with a dash of hot water.

For hair masks I picked up 2, one of them being Marilyn and the other is called Damaged.Β  I thought it would be great for keeping my hair moisturized despite the crappy cold weather. If its as good as Marilyn I am in for a great treat!

IMG_3131

The last one I want to rave about is Sex Bomb. Until now I didn’t quite get the hype about it and I don’t know why. This little bundle of love is so beautiful and I cannot wait to see what captivating surprises are inside. The funny thing is I bought this a long time ago, so long I’ve completely forgotten what it looked and smelled like!

I will leave a full list below of what I got πŸ™‚

Who else is already excited for the Valentines day collection?

Snow Angel

Milky Bar

Butterball

Sex Bomb

Twilight

Ickle Baby Bot

Marilyn Hair Mask

Damaged Hair Mask

If anyone is wondering my Instagram handle is missm_w, and I just post a lot of flat lays and fashion, all of it is my own photography πŸ“·

I’d love to follow everyone from here so leave a comment and let me know you’re from WordPress! I’ll follow you back! I’m very new to the whole Instagram blogging thing so I want to get caught up! 😁

Also that is indeed the Lush 12 Days of Christmas gift box 🎁 and yes a review will be coming soon for it! πŸŽ‰

How is your week going so far?

Fun question of the week: My brother thinks you should wait until December 1st before you drink any eggnog or listen to Christmas music. Do you agree?

(I’m on the opposing side since I’ve already been listening to Christmas music a bit and had eggnog :p)

Random Lush Haul

Hello everyone!

I have quite possibly the most random little Lush haul I’ve ever done! I was recently in Vancouver visiting my friend for Halloween, and before getting there my boyfriend and I stopped by a Lush shop to stock up on goodies. My boyfriend loves Lush just as much as I do so we always leave with at least a small bag. He loves the soaps and body washes, I always stock up on bath bombs and bubble bars, body wash…Okay maybe everything! πŸ˜›

As I said, we were in the city for Halloween and despite being way WAY too early I still had a little gander through the Christmas releases. Besides bath stuff, I love a good treat for my hair and was super keen on the Naked Products they’ve recently released.

Like I said I couldn’t resist the Christmas section. And while I still thing it’s too early to think about it, butterball is a favourite of mine, and a must have. So I got butter bear, because why have it in a regular shape when I could have it in a bear shape!

Next is Star Light Star Bright. I have a love for all things shiny and glittery so it’s no surprise I had to get this bath bomb/ melt. It’s fresh scent of ginger and lime is also my fave for relaxing and relieving stress.

My last bath bomb is once again a recurring fave for me and that’s Avobath! This is one of those bath bombs where your skin feels so good and soft when you get out you can’t believe your bath could do that. Once again it’s a fresh Lime scent and is very fresh and awakening.

Lastly is the Hot Oil Treatments in the formula Marilyn. The fellow at Lush who was helping completely sold this to me because A. It’s great for blonde hair (I tried the original formula and loved it) and B. He let me in on a little secret for how to make it last longer than one use (storing it in an old lush pot will keep it good for up to a month!) So it’s no doubt I got it! Marilyn is great for natural and coloured blondes because it gets rid of brassy tones and leaves your hair incredibly soft!

So this was my little random Lush haul! I couldn’t resist getting a few Christmas items along with my regular faves. I can’t wait until I can fully indulge in the Christmas range.πŸŽ„

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and happy November to you all!

What Christmas items from Lush do you want most? πŸ™‚

Valentines Lush Haul!

Hello lovelies! And a late happy V-day to all!

I am not one of those people who place a lot of importance on Valentine’s Day, I definitely love doing little special things for my parter every day regardless of what the calendar says. But, when given an excuse to spoil them a little extra, I’ll take it. And if that also includes me receiving or buying myself chocolate, hey, I’ll never say no πŸ˜›

Part of this whole scheme that I love is the little part of my brain that says ‘Treat yo self ‘, and I always happily oblige. This year I was not stingy at all when it came to dropping some dollars in the Lush shop. It’s especially easy and enjoyable when all the Lush employees and SO FREAKING NICE. At least at the one I frequent when I am in the city.

Anyway , as usual I have rambled on long enough…

img_0793

I did not purchase everything  from the Valentine’s collection, I only bought things that I loved the smell/was very curious of. As always I just like to make sure that what I write about is honest and mostly positive πŸ™‚
πŸ’‹ The first bath bomb that I have repurchased over and over was ‘Tisty Totsy’. While this is not part of the V-day collection, it’s just too cute to pass up. It’s a heart filled with baby roses! If that doesn’t scream Valentine’s Day than I don’t know what does. Besides that the smell is beautiful and light, and it turns your bath an enchanting milky color, while delicate rose petals flutter to the surface of your bath. 🌹

πŸ’‹ Lady Bug bubble bar. I thought this was too cute to pass up! Lots of the Lush bubble bars are much lighter colours, so I was intrigued to see a bit of purple mixed in. Also I have a love of lady bugs, and I just think they’re adorable.  The scent is similar to the Comforter, but less sickly.

πŸ’‹ Unicorn Horn Bubble bar. The ever famous unicorn horn bubble bar was a no brainer in my little haul. Something about those bright pastel swirls attracts me every time it comes out. The scent is as unique and its colours, filled with lavender and ylang ylang.

πŸ’‹ Lover Lamp bath bomb. This is one of those bath bombs that I don’t think much of when I first picked it up, and now I wish I bought 5 more! It’s smells rich with vanilla, yet it’s fresh and tangy at the same time. It turns your water milky, while tiny red hearts melt into your bath.

πŸ’‹ Cupid bath bomb. This simple and cute bath bomb is perfect to help melt your woes away in a hot bath. As it begins to fizz, it bursts with rich pink foam and bubbles. It is a cloud of creamy swirls with the aroma of a spring garden.

πŸ’‹ Over and Over. While this bath bomb doesn’t scream Valentine’s with the usual pinks and reds, it makes up with its zingy lime scent, and rich cocoa butter. One side fizzes away exploding with colour, while the other delicately melts into your bath, soothing away your worries.

img_0797

img_0804

The comforter. By no means is this a new Lush product or a Valentine’s Day one, but I needed it in my life. The bubble bar smells more sweet and sickly to me, initially throwing me off it all together. But when I last received an order, a small sample of the shower gel was included. It was love at first sniff. The gel smells more of black currant, and less sickly. I even add it to my bath if I want a little bubble but not too much.

Lastly is D’fluff shaving cream. I’ve already raved about this before so I’ll keep it short. It’s like strawberry mouse that you shave with. Essentially it’s dessert for your legs! Or wherever you choose to use it. Rich and moisturizing is leaves you soft and smooth after, with no post shaving itch.

Thanks for reading as always πŸ’— hope everyone is having a brilliant February!

Spring is on the way! 🌹🌹🌹

Summer Lush Haul!

Hello lovely people!

It seems Β around this time the last couple years I’ve treated myself to a little Lush haul. Alright, ‘little’ might be a bit of an understatement, you caught me.

My love of baths does not fade over the summer. There is an art in every bath in my opinion, and just because it is warmer out, there is no exception to the art! (Besides in B.C, some days are like Autumn)

Running the perfect bath is a real skill. Getting just the right temperature to the water, and just the right mix of aromas.

But enough of the bath politics, lets get right into the haul.

IMG_0449IMG_0450IMG_0452

Tisty Tosty: Roses, Roses and more Roses. A delightfully elegant experience of bathing in rose petals and buds.

Twilight: An enchanting mix of sweet scents and bursts or pink and purple.

Pink: If you had to describe the color pink as a smell, it would be this bath bomb. Sweet, but not overpowering.

IMG_0460IMG_0462

Avo Bath: Lemongrass scents mixed with the nourishment of olive oil make this the best for freshening up and raising your spirits. (one of my top bath bombs of all time)

Floating Island: Its like a vanilla scented dream, that moisturizes and relaxes.

You’ve Been Mangoed: A strong citrus scent that awakens your mind and body.

Pink Flamingo: I honestly bought this because it looks amazing and cute. The smell is sweet yet floral. It is a perfect fit!

IMG_0463IMG_0466IMG_0465

Fizzbanger: If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know my love for this bath bomb. I cannot resist the apple citrus scent and the bright green color it turns my bath.

Yoga Bomb: Another favorite of mine. I love the gentle smell and the show of colors it puts off in the bath. I wont say what in case its a spoiler ;p

The Comforter: It took me a while to grow on the smell of the comforter. Maybe they changer their formula, or my nose changed, but the black current sweet smell is irresistible.

Bright side: Another bubble bar that grew on me. Once again I feel as though the formula was changed. It smelled too strong the first time I picked it up, yet now its the perfect mix of orangey and lemony aromas.

Overall I feel like it was a perfect Lush haul, and I’m already in love with so many of the products (insert heart eye emoji here)

Hope you have a stellar day!

March Favorites!

My chatty favorites of March! πŸ™‚

Hello lovely people and welcome to my March favorites! I must admit I am impressed with myself getting this uploaded within the first week of April, rather than the first few weeks. Don’t mind me as I pat myself on the back just a little haha. Must get better at this whole organization thing.

Alright, let’s cut the faffing about and get right into it!

March faves

💋My first favorite is a lush product. I know, shocker *sarcasm*, and it is the ‘Bunch o Carrots’ reusable bubble bars. These delightful little bars are by far one of my favorite lush scents ever. They are fruity and sweet, but also light. I bought them a week before easter, and I still have all of them. They give off amazing bubbles just by running them under water, so they last forever!

💋 NYX Matte liquid foundation. This was a purchase that I was on the fence about. I’m sure we all know the difficulty of picking a drugstore foundation. I do not live anywhere near ‘higher quality’ makup stores, so I’ve become quite an expert (sorta) at perusing through drugstore makup and finding the best formulas possible. This is by far my new favorite drugstore foundation! I realized my last foundation was almost just a teeny bit too dark. My skin tone tends to waver on the cusp of two tones and this foundation is the right one for now since I’m much paler after winter. My other foundation will be great for when I get more sun (which should be soon :p)
Getting back to my point, this foundation is high coverage, but still looks good just using a little, and can still be layered. Five stars and I’ve actually been using it almost every day. Big wow!

💋Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer.
I bought this because one of my favorite YouTubers (Tanya Burr) used it in a recent tutorial, so I put some faith in her and was not disappointed in the slightest. In fact this may just bump the Wake Me Up concealer out of the #1 spot. Sorry Wake Me Up, its time to step aside 😂
The Match Perfection is both a concealer and a highlighter. I use this on those particular early mornings to help look…well a little more ‘alive’ let’s just say. It blends like a dream, and I haven’t had any problems with creasing, as well as it lasting through out the day.

💋 Bath and Body Works, Tahiti Island Dream body mist. There’s not much to say about this besides the fact that I love this scent. Its like fresh tropical air, condensed, and I just want to spray it everywhere and smell it forever. :p

💋 Loreal Paris Brow Stylist Definer. When I bought this product it was more out of curiosity than actual necessity. I always found brow pencils to be very rough to apply, and once you finally get into apply, it somehow ends up too dark. However this has restored my faith in the brow pencil. Its a softer pencil and the pencil itself is very thin making it so easy to define your brows however you like them. I have heard from many people it is a perfect dupe for the Brow Whiz by Anastasia Beverly hills, bit I’ve not tried that product, so I cannot vouch for that, but maybe any of you can? Let me know in the comments πŸ™‚

💋 Revlon ‘Just Bitten’ Kissable lip balm stain, in the color 040 Rendezvous. Since spring is here I’ve delved into more orange shades of lipsticks and thud has come out on top as my favorite! The color makes me feel so bright and springy, and it also has incredible moisturizing properties. It has the color hold of a lip stain, but is lip friendly like a lip balm. It is also a really refreshing peppermint scent, and adds a cooling sensation to the lips.

💋NYX Xtreme Lipcream in ‘CandyLand’. This is one of the cutest colors I have ever worn. The perfect baby pink liquid lipstick. It has the hold of a liquid lipstick and the shine of a lip gloss. And that makes me one happy gal!

💋Bath and Body Hand sanitizer in Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla. This is a very funny favorite to me, however there is a cold sweeping through my town so I tend to obsess over having clean hands. This does exactly that. It has been living in my purse, not to mention it smells like some freaking amazing cookies.

So this is all of my favorites of March! When I started to make my list in the beginning I thought to myself ‘I don’t really have that many new favorites’, but like usual as I looked through my makeup bag and purse, I remembered all the products I’ve been casually obsessing over hehe.

So I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you have been loving any of the same products, or what your favorites are! I love to hear from everyone! πŸ™‚

I always like doing these kinds of posts because a lot of the products I enjoy are very affordable and usually from the drugstore. I just remember/know what it’s like being interested in makeup, but feeling so out of your league as where to start. And I know what its like to nervously look through the aisles and aisles of products hoping you buy something good. So any help that I may be able to provide makes me happy!

As usual, I hope you’re enjoying your day! Thanks for reading!

Teeny Tiny February Favorites!

Welcome to my Feb Faves!

Hello lovely people!
Its me! Remember me? I used to write on this blog a lot and I’ve been gone for what seems like an eternity? (I’m only kidding)
Its good to be back in the blogging spirit!

And it traditional blogging ways I have with me a monthly favorites post!
I’ve called it a teeny tiny favorites, since it is definitely noticibly smaller than mine in January.
I guess after Christmas I had lots of goodies gifted to me, and it being my first favorites post, I had a long list. Now I try to always share new info (no matter how small :p), so I guess I’ve just been a little stingy on buying new products.

Now enough with the jibber jabber. Here they are!

image

❀ My first favorite (and the biggest) are some little Tom’s I got for running errands and whatnot. They have saved my life many times this month when I didn’t want to wear uggs, and no interest in wearing heels. Insert , Tom’s to the rescue!

❀ Beautiful Day, Bath and Body Works Candle.
This is honestly just a beautiful looking and smelling candle. Its delightfully floral, but also fresh and light!

❀ Nivea Men Aftershave Balm.
This was a buy completely influenced by the wonderfully talented Nikki of Nikki Tutorials on YouTube. She raved about it in many of her videos, calling it the perfect makeup primer. So I went on a hunt to find it, and I have not been disappointed since. It smells great, and keeps my makup on point all day. 👍
Go check out her YouTuber channel you will not be disappointed!

❀ Real Techniques Beauty Blender.
Okay, so I’m fairly late to the party on this one, I know. I live in a small town away from any Sephora’s or anything so finding a good dupe for the real deal took a while. But I found it! And it gets 10/10. The only thing is the cleaning process of it. It doesn’t quite come perfectly clean in the end, but the quality makes up for it. 🌟

❀ NYX brow pen.
I am one of those people that cannot manage under certain pressure. Namely, needing to quickly fill my brows in before a night out. This little handy tool has made that process so much simpler! Its literally just like drawing your eyebrows in with a pen. I like to do it more natural and not to sharp of a line, and the colors they offer work well blending into your natural brow.

❀ 3 Clinique products:
Charcoal face wash from men’s line, Perfume in ‘Happy’, and Moisture Surge Foundation.
The moisture foundation has been a lovely new ‘re-discovery’ since I’ve been having good skin days, which means me needing less coverage in that area. It does a lovely job of evening the skin tone, and moisturizing. And not forgetting the lovely dewy look it leaves on your skin!
The Charcoal face wash is what has been responsible for my good skin days. A wonderfully deep cleaning face wash. Don’t let the color scare you! :p
And lastly, the Happy perfume, was a lovely added gift from the lady at the counter. Its fresh and floral, and not too over powering. I would recommend sampling it if given the chance!

❀ Lastly, the AG Color Care Shampoo, set. I only added the shampoo to save room in the photo, but along with it was included conditioner, and heat protector spray. I do not usually splurge too much on shampoo, but I’ve been learning to trust spending a little extra for great quality. All of the products smell like yummy creamsicle, thus making you smell like a Popsicle 😅 The affect it has on my hair is phenomenal! I noticed a difference after the first wash, making it more soft and vibrant! A+!

And that everyone was all my favorites of February! I hope you enjoyed reading! And if you did, thank you for spending a few minutes of your day here. Love having ya! :p

Hope everyone’s week has started off wonderful and I’ll be back soon! (I promise!)

January Favorites!

My favorite items used in January!

Hello lovely individuals! Happy February to everyone out there! I don’t know you you, but I couldn’t be happier to say hello to February and the spring months that will be following along shortly.
I wanted to try something new. This happens to be something I am recently addicted to, and that is watching Monthly Favorite videos on YouTube! I cannot get enough of learning about the different products and fashions my favorite YouTubers are loving!
So I thought I would try the same thing on my blog!

So, without any further ado, these are my January favorites!

Jan faves 1

❀ To kick things off my first favorite is my Instax 8 Polaroid camera. This little camera has seen me through all of my favorite joyous occasions. It is so fun to snap a picture in the height of excitement, and wave it around, waiting eagerly for it to develop! It helped make New Years Eve a night to remember!

❀ Real Techniques Brushes. These are my favorite brushes at the moment. I use them for foundation, blush, bronzer, you name it. They are there like your best friend. Not to mention they are incredibly soft.

❀ Kate Moss, Rimmel London Nude Lipsticks in #43, and #40. These lipsticks are like a magic act. They go with a dressed up look, they go with a natural look, just spot on every time. They really are the cure to my Red Christmas lips blues I’ve been having.

❀ Loreal Sublime Radiance cleansing oil. Okay, let me tell you about this little miracle worker. When I first bought this product, I failed to read the instructions on it, and missed out on its true potential. At first I used it on cotton pads to remove my make up and thought : ‘good grief I am using up a lot of cotton pads’. Little did I know you were supposed to put it straight onto your face and use it like a cleanser. Once that was discovered, I have been in heaven. It takes off every last bit of makeup, yes, even waterproof. And I also find it helps my dry, semi-oily skin. 10/10!

❀ These crazy elastics! I found them at Pharmasave (local drug store). I’m not sure they even have a name but you can most definitely find spin off of them everywhere. Yes they look nutty, but they also work like a dream. As someone with ridiculously thick hair, this is the answer to my prayers. No fist fulls of my hair taking them out, no tangles, and hey, you look super cute and 90’s wearing them πŸ™‚

❀ Essie Nail Polish in ‘Go Ginza’, and H&M Polish in ‘Hunt Me Down’. Both are pastel colors but on opposite ends of the spectrum. They are splendid colors to wear between the last winter months and spring in my opinion!

❀ Rimmel Lasting perfection Foundation. Originally I went into the drugstore looking for a completely different foundation (Rimmel Wake Me Up), but happened upon this product instead. I tried it and I fell in love! Initially what persuaded me to make the switch was the matte look it had in comparison to the Wake Me Up,(which visibly had sparkes in it). A good look for the summer when I want glowy skin, but maybe not for the end of winter. Perhaps in the warmer months I will give it a try! πŸ˜›

❀ Zoella Blissful Mistful body spray. It is not often I find a body spray and think “Wowzers, I love this scent, I want to wear this everyday and nothing else.” Which is the exact scenario that is happening. It is so light and fresh smelling. I do not feel like I’m drowning in the scent, but It’s like being surrounded by a lovely fresh, but light floral aura.

Jan faves 2

(Oooh fancy set change :P)

❀ NYX Beauty On The Go Palette. This particular color palette has been the MVP of my makeup collection this month. I am yet to find a color I don’t love or look great in! It is a mixture of eye shadows, blush, bronzer, contour, highlight and lipstick. Yes, ALL of that in one palette. Even the shades for contouring that are way too dark for my skin tone just happen to go perfectly with my brows. It is a glorious mix of matte colors, and shimmery ones. some days I use all the nude tones, and other days I use a bright green (just to give an idea of the color variation.)

❀ Bath And Body Works candle, scented Sweater Weather. Oh boy, I wish I could describe properly through typing just how good this candle smells. The only way to describe it is a mix of fresh air, aftershave (good smelling stuff), and fresh leaves. You are probably thinking “Okay lady, you have a crazy nose”, but I would urge you to give it a sniff if its still in stores! It is technically an autumn scented candle, but I’ve been sparingly burning my little sampler candle of it.

❀ NYX Matte Lipstick in Merlot. I can sense a pattern of NYX products here… Definitely not on purpose I promise! I just cannot get enough of the awesome color that is this lipstick! To get a better idea of what it looks like on you can check out my bronze makeup look I did a while ago. It goes on nicely, and does not bleed like some lipsticks. A great lipstick that stays put!

❀ Lush ‘No Drought’ Dry Shampoo. All I have is positive reviews as usual for this Lush product. I’ve been on the hunt for a good dry shampoo, but been very discouraged since 99% of drugstore dry shampoo’s come in aerosol cans. I am a firm believer of recycling and I could not stand to buy one more aerosol can, so you can imagine my joy when I saw the dry shampoo they had cam in a recycled plastic bottle, that could be recycled again. But anyway, enough with the politics! It smells amazing and applying it is so easy. The fresh citrus scent is my favorite, as well as my boyfriends, saying I smell like fruit loops.:P

❀ This is probably the funniest of my favorites. They are little slipper socks I bought from Marks Work Ware World. Its a store that mainly sells sport wear, clothing for outdoor work, and some men’s and woman’s fashion. I have a quirkier sense of style, thus making some of their stuff, just a little too bland for me. However I was pleasantly surprised when I found these little slippers there. I always have cold feet, but hate the feeling of sloppy slippers those it was a truly heroic discovery when I found these.

So these were my January favorites! It already feels like February has been flying by way too fast too! Let me know what you think of these kinds of posts! I realize this is one of my longest posts yet, wow! Would you like me to continue doing favorites? And what have you been loving in January? These are just my opinions, no one pays me to say anything πŸ˜›

As usual thank you for reading guys!

XOXO

NYX Palette!

New NYX palette ooh ahh.

Hello everyone! How are you today? πŸ™‚

I was recently given the NYX: Beauty on the go palette for my birthday, and I have since been very happily testing and experimenting with all the blushers, bronzers, highlights, lipsticks and eye shadows.

You may be thinking, ‘Wait a minuet, woah…that palette comes with all that?’ (insert jaw drop here). I am here to say yes, yes it does!

NYX 3

(Excuse the horrible light cast right in the middle of the palette)

NYX SHOT

The most amazing thing is just how much bang for your buck you get. NYX is definitely more of the top quality of the drugstore brands, and I find myself reaching for their products more often. The shadows are nicely pigmented, and they blend out like a dream. Not to mention the blushers and bronzers ect go well on the skin, and don’t feel like they are drying or cakey. That is a big one for me. As a person who is naturally just flush in the face I find it hard to find a blush that isn’t too crazy, and the colors in this palette have helped give me many options.

The lipsticks in the palette are very nice colors , but I am not so crazy on the set up of them. I am a big user of tube lipstick, so using a brush to apply is just something I need to practice more. I find it doesn’t get enough product on to the lip, and most of it stays on the brush. If any of you have any techniques to help I would LOVE to know them! πŸ™‚

With that being the only downfall the rest of it is perfect. The selection of it really helps you fund something you love first then you can go on to buy it in its full size. Massive thumbs up! 👍

NYX 2

I hope you enjoyed this little review , and maybe helped inspire!
Let me know if you’d like to see any swatches of the colors! (There are so many I wish I could swatch them all 😂)

Thanks for reading! Enjoy your day! πŸ™‚
